We’re delighted that you and Elliseran have agreed to make your book available through the Elliseran collection.
This agreement explains the basis on which Elliseran will display, promote and sell your book through Elliseran.com.
You remain the owner of your book and its copyright. This agreement does not transfer copyright or ownership to Elliseran and is non-exclusive. You remain free to sell, publish and promote your book elsewhere.
By completing the Author Sales Agreement below, you give Elliseran permission to make the agreed book available for sale through Elliseran and confirm your acceptance of the sales arrangements explained on this page.
Author Revenue Share
Unless different terms have been expressly agreed with you in writing for a particular book, sales through Elliseran are divided as follows:
Author: 70%
Elliseran: 30%
Your 70% share is calculated from the actual selling price paid for your book after any applicable Elliseran promotional discount, rather than from its normal undiscounted selling price.
For example, if your book normally sells for £10.00 and is sold for £7.00 during a 30% Special Offer, your share is 70% of £7.00 = £4.90.
Elliseran’s share from that sale is £2.10.
Your agreed normal selling price is not permanently changed simply because your book is temporarily included in a promotion.
Elliseran Promotions
To help promote books and encourage additional sales, books available through Elliseran may participate in Elliseran promotional offers.
This currently includes our Special Offers, where qualifying books may be selected on a rotating or random basis and temporarily offered at a 30% discount.
It also includes our Buy 3 promotion, under which qualifying purchases may receive a 15% discount.
When your book is sold as part of one of these promotions, your 70% author share is calculated from the actual discounted selling price paid by the customer.
By entering into this agreement, you authorise Elliseran to include your book in these promotions.
Author Payments
Your author earnings are based on cleared funds actually received by Elliseran for completed sales of your book.
Author payments are normally made on the 28th of each month for eligible cleared sales.
If a sale is subsequently refunded, reversed or subject to a chargeback, the corresponding author share may be deducted from money otherwise due to you or adjusted against a future payment.
Elliseran will maintain records of sales used to calculate the amount payable to you.
Your Copyright and Rights
You retain copyright and ownership of your book. Nothing in this agreement transfers your copyright or ownership to Elliseran.
You give Elliseran a non-exclusive permission to display, promote, market and sell the agreed book through Elliseran for as long as it remains part of the Elliseran collection.
You confirm that you own, or have the necessary permission to use, the text, illustrations, cover artwork and any other material contained in the book, and that you have the legal authority to allow Elliseran to sell it.
Because the arrangement is non-exclusive, you remain free to publish, sell and promote your book elsewhere.
Ending the Agreement
You may ask Elliseran to stop selling your book at any time by contacting us in writing.
Elliseran may also remove or suspend a book from sale where reasonably necessary, including where there is a rights concern, legal issue, technical problem or breach of this agreement or our Terms and Conditions.
Ending this agreement does not affect amounts already due from completed sales, refunds, reversals or chargebacks relating to earlier sales.
Once the book has been removed from sale, Elliseran will no longer have permission under this agreement to make new sales of the book.
Agreement with Elliseran’s Terms
This Author Sales Agreement should be read together with the Elliseran Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy.
If your book is accepted for sale, the information you provide will be used to create and administer your author account, book listing, sales records and author payments.
Before Elliseran places your book on sale, you will be asked to confirm that you have read and accepted this Author Sales Agreement and the applicable Elliseran Terms and Conditions.
